Cracked server means people who have not bought minecraft can play on the server, yes.

CAN normal players be whitelisted for that matter jimmy? The server just got hacked... They probably won't allow normal players to be whitelisted. But if it IS allowed =

They're not letting anyone who isn't premium be whitelisted for now.
The server should be fixed within the next 24-48 hours.
I'm not speaking anything 100% here but this is what I know so far.

Katniss it should be up and running in 1-2 days. They're currently doing repairs and whatnot, although they are probably going through a crap ton of chat messages and locating the diamonds.

I believe the diamonds are going to be more of a after-release issue.
